A mark of maturity is deferring immediate gratification for long-run gain.

I’ve wanted it all.  And I’ve wanted it now.  So I focused.  And pushed.  Got what I wanted.  But didn’t get peace / satisfaction / contentment.
What about you?  Happy where you are?  Invested time, talent, treasure in what really matters for the long-run?
I spent a couple years and many thousands of dollars to get a graduate degree in business – but – I’d have been further ahead to have invested time searching the Bible for God’s wisdom about money, business, relationships.
I spent too much time on materialism – buying things I didn’t need – with money I didn’t have – to impress people I didn’t care about.
Yes – I’m now sorry for my wasted efforts / wasted time – but – that’s water-under-the-bridge.  So now – every day – I invest Prime Time seeking to know Christ for intimately and live for Him more intentionally.
Money can be limited – but TIME is your most essential asset – and your clock (and mine) clicking away FAST – especially when I consider how short our lives are on earth – and how we live NOW – prepares us for ETERNITY.
If you’d like a free Bible – let me know.  If you’d like to visit – please call.  Together we may be able to make some progress on this process toward maturing.  These verses might help you think about next-steps.

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.”  Matthew 16:24
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?”   Luke 14:28
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  Galatians 6:9
